Dr.
Fanning was named Executive Vice President in June of 2002, after having joined AgriLogic
in July of 1999 as Director of Benchmark Analysis and Livestock Specialist and serving as
Vice President of Research and Development since December of 2000. As Executive Vice
President, his duties include assisting the CEO in the operations of the company including
defining and implementing processes that enhance the efficiency and profitability of the
company, development and monitoring of the short and long term business plans, measurement
of employees’ performances, designs and creates monthly accounting and statistical data
reports, and manages the quality control process and team.
Prior to joining
AgriLogic, Fanning was an Assistant Professor and Extension
Livestock Specialist for the University of Florida. Fanning
has extensive experience in planning and implementing risk management
programs and educational programs in the area of livestock management
and production. He received the University of Florida, Institute
of Food and Agricultural Sciences Extension Team Award for Educational
Programming.
Professional
Association memberships include American Registry of Professional
Animal Scientists, American Society of Animal Science, Society
for Range Management, National Cattlemen's Beef Association, National
Association of County Agricultural Agents. Honor Society memberships
include Gamma Sigma Delta and Sigma XI. Fanning serves as an
ex-officio member of the steering committee for the Coalition of
American Agricultural Producers (CAAP).
Fanning holds
a B.S. from Angelo State University in Animal Science, M.S. from
Clemson University in Animal and Food Industries and a Doctorate
of Philosophy
from Texas A&M University in Reproductive Physiology.
