RMA announced in MGR-09-005 (August 31, 2009) that the California Citrus Dollar Pilot crop insurance program will be terminated effective with the 2011 crop year [as of the termination date of November 20, 2009]. Therefore, all existing CA Citrus Dollar Pilot policies [using the 2002-NCIS 836 or equivalent crop provisions] must be terminated for the 2011 and succeeding crop years. According to MGR-09-005, policyholders must be notified of the CA Citrus Dollar Pilot termination at least 30 days prior to the cancellation date of November 20, 2009, so they can consider other risk management options, such as the new 2011 Actual Revenue History (ARH) Citrus Pilot program available for navel oranges in Fresno, Kern, Madera and Tulare counties [announced in Informational Memorandum PM-09-044].
